More about Yelof

Background information.

"A Great Little Woman" is the last play that Michael (Mick) Foley produced. Mick's dream was to bring this comedy to New York.
The play was last staged in the Town Hall Theatre in November 2007. Unfortunately Michael was not well enough to see the packed house each night but the reports of the plays success lifted his spirit. Sadly after a courageous battle Michael passed away on the 25th April 2008. His love of drama and the theatre has been an inspiration to all of us in Yelof Productions.

Yelof Productions was formed in 1999 by Michael Foley and consistently produced plays over the last nine years. This was a great achievement considering he had to raise every cent himself. Despite repeated applications to the relevant funding agencies, no grants were forthcoming. We have always been funded from private sources. This support has been given willingly and without promise of repayment. It has allowed us to perform in Galway, Tubbercurry, Clifden, the Aran Islands, Claremorris and New York (2006). We believe that our contribution to the arts in Ireland is important, if unacknowledged.

We would like to continue Michael’s work and therefore we would appreciate any form of support. Come along and see the play in the Town Hall Theatre, Galway on the 1st and 2nd of Sept. 8.30p.m.

Many thanks from the cast and crew of Yelof Productions.

Sean Foley, Gráinne Moore, Henry Bryan, Michael Daly, Bríd Ní Chualáin, Ruairí Ó Cualáin, Rory T Quinn, Reamonn Ó Conghaile
